The grand masters of the 20th century and contemporary authors
We offer two mini-courses of one week each on Italian literature. The first is dedicated to the fiction and poetry of the grand masters of the 20th century, the second is aimed at the study of contemporary authors who have written successful works of literary worth over the last twenty years.
A brief history of 20th century Italian literature
A course dedicated to the great authors of the 20th century. Beginning with the changes that marked the turn of the century the course goes on to analyse some of the works resulting from the great crises of the First and Second World Wars.
The contemporary novel
This course analyses new themes and new styles in order to better understand the Italian literature of the last twenty years, through some of the most representative authors, including Alessandro Baricco, Niccolò Ammanniti, Andrea De Carlo, Margareth Mazzantini, Carlo Lucarelli and Andrea Camilleri.
The "Italian literature" mini-courses are open to students who have attained an intermediate-advanced knowledge of the Italian language. These individual courses last for one week and can be started on any Monday.
